About the Midwest Chapter
The Midwest Chapter/MLA is one of twelve regional chapters affiliated with the Medical Library Association (MLA). The chapter promotes excellence in the practice of health sciences librarianship by providing its members with regional opportunities for:
- leadership
- continuing education,
- professional development, and
- peer interaction.
In addition, the chapter serves as a communications channel between MLA and the chapter’s members. Midwest Chapter membership is open to anyone interested in health sciences libraries, including non-MLA members and individuals living or working outside the chapter’s geographic boundaries.
