Accessibility Policies

In 2023, JJ Pionke, President of the Midwest Chapter of the Medical Library Association, formed an Accessibility Task Force to assess and then create policies around accessibility. This task force produced the following:

The Accessibility Task Force Executive Summary: A short summary of the work that was completed by four project teams.

Accessibility Policies: This document focuses on general accessibility policies for the chapter and where to find more information.

Annual Meeting Accessibility Policies: There are two documents for the Annual Meeting Accessibility Policies. One is for face to face meetings and the other one is for virtual meetings.

Social Media Accessibility Guidelines. Covers basic guidelines for how to make social media posts more accessible. The document also contains links to individual platforms' accessibility pages.

Website Accessibility Report: The Website Team evaluated and made corrections to the Midwest MLA website to conform to WCAG 2.0 AA standards.
