Finance Committee

The Finance Committee is charged with providing financial oversight and guidance for the chapter. The committee is responsible for preparing the association’s annual budget, ensuring that association activities, including the annual conference, are appropriately funded, and making recommendations to the Executive Board on all policies relating to finance. The committee chair shall prepare and submit financial reports to the Executive Board and membership. The chair is also responsible for ensuring that required financial reports, filings, and supporting documentation are submitted to the Medical Library Association and the Internal Revenue Service in accordance with applicable deadlines and requirements.

The Finance Committee shall consist of the Treasurer, who serves as Chair, plus at least one member appointed to serve a two-year term by the President. The chair is to be elected in odd numbered years. At least one member is appointed in even numbered years.
